What colors mixed together will make blue?
Blue can be created by mixing the primary colors red and green together, or by mixing the secondary colors cyan and magenta together. The exact shade of blue produced will depend on the intensity and ratios of the colors used in the mix.
For example, when mixing red and green light, the resulting color will be a shade of yellow-green. However, when paint or pigments are used, the colors will mix to create a blue hue. This is due to the fact that pigments absorb some colors and reflect others, whereas light is additive and creates colors through the mixing of wavelengths.
In printing and digital media, the subtractive color model is used, and the colors cyan, magenta, and yellow (known as CMY) are used to produce a full-color gamut. By adding more cyan and less magenta, a blue color can be created.
